At Parivartan Foundation, we are dedicated to ensuring that every child has access to a safe and nurturing environment where they can grow, learn, and thrive. Our mission is to empower underprivileged children by partnering with shelter homes that provide essential services like shelter, food, and education.
India faces significant challenges regarding underprivileged children. According to the latest data, 17% of children under six are underweight, 36% are stunted, and 6% are wasted. Additionally, the country has approximately 30 million orphans, with less than half a million residing in shelters or orphanages. While the government has implemented initiatives like the Integrated Programme for Street Children to provide shelter and support, many children still lack basic necessities.
Our Role and Impact
Many of the shelter homes we collaborate with face significant challenges due to a lack of government support. Despite their best efforts, these homes often struggle to provide the necessary resources for the children in their care. This is where Parivartan Foundation steps in.
